Powerpoint Is Really Cool!

Powerpoint is really cool!  Okay, I may have just fallen off the cliff and deeper into the abyss of nerdom.  During the past few weeks, I have been re-acquainting myself with Powerpoint and all of the cool things that one can create with it.

Most notably, I have been using it to create my online courses. I sort of wish that I had been using it sooner but, no time like the present.

I am adding video to my class slideshow which will enhance the experience for the student and make the material easier to teach. My new found love for Powerpoint has not come  without drawbacks. My learning curve is a lot slower than it used to be, I am sure due to the many projects on my plate.

BGU: Summer Hours

I love working during the summer. Even the most hectic work and/or school day can still be halfway pleasant during sunny weather. Daylight stretches long into the evening hours and you can find yourself stepping out of your workplace and right into an after work cocktail party. New people are buzzing around town. Perhaps, they are working on summer projects for their respective employers, working internships, and/or attending classes. Summer is also a great time for plotting the next career step or life transition. How will you be spending your summer hours? Will your summer be all about work or will you manage to sneak in a few weeks of leisurely travel? I am planning on working, spending time with friends and family, and working on our farm.

Week 3-Make Better Choices Making different choices requires that you hold yourself up to a higher standard of personal accountability…which can be exceedingly uncomfortable. For example, let’s say you are looking for ways to trim your monthly budget. Looking through your bank statements, you notice multiple charges for dining out expenses. Upon further self-reflection, you realize that you rarely stock your food pantry. Going forward, you hit the grocery store once a week to stock your house with food. As a result of making the choice to go grocery shopping on a regular basis, you have cut your expenses in half. Assignment List 3 things in your life that you would like to change.
